What is TUW-IVV?...
As the largest University Institute for Transport planning in Austria, the Institute is situated at the Faculty for Civil Engineering. The Research institute is working on several National and International projects at the moment for example PLUTO – the Prediction of Land use and Transport changes due to Open borders in Vienna and also OBIS with is an international project looking at the opportunities of bike sharing in European Cities as a valuable instrument to foster clean and energy efficient sustainable modes of mobility in Urban areas.

Issues before using Timesheet Xpress...
As with hundreds of research facilities, the Institute is required to keep accurate data on resources used during projects. Typically this process was carried out using paper based time sheets, then over time; these were “migrated” to Excel based timesheets. The big problem here was trying to get accurate figures regarding resource use per project was very difficult when trying to formulate reports; particularly if more than one person worked on an aspect of the project which is being recorded.
